According to Freddie, trust and confidence are the two things that clients are looking for in today’s market. “A core component of being a client focused leader and therefore agency is trust and confidence, and more so now than ever,” she says. “No matter what is happening in the industry, or the brand we are working with, be it B2B or B2C; the agency must continue delivering those fundamental core values through every staff member for every project. Freddie has always been at the forefront of adopting new technologies in creating award-winning live experiences, hence when COVID-19 hit the industry by surprise, the pioneering leader already had everything in place to pivot to virtual and hybrid events, which have been delivered flawlessly. “For FG|PG, it’s a paradigm shift in staff as we bring on additional talent with skill sets that are aligned with our pivot to the highest quality in digital experiences, that are without question here to stay.” Acccording to Freddie, right now and forever from here on out, content for virtual brand experiences must be conceived and delivered with the highest level of creativity attainable, to ensure we’re delivering a lot more than glorified zoom meetings. It’s undoubtedly harder to make a connection virtually as people are naturally more inclined to be less engaged. “So, it’s our job to infuse unexpected moments that surprise and delight the audience, keeping them emersed and eager for more rather than less.”
For both Freddie and FG|PG as a whole, the key to integrating the clients' new needs into their service offerings and vice-versa was immediate education when COVID-19 impacted. “I wasted no time in simultaneously learning and educating what technology we could bring to our clients that would resonate with them and audiences the most,” explains Freddie. “One of my favorites is virtual event experiences through XR Stage productions. It’s not necessarily the solution for every brand, it’s just one of my favorites.” Having worked with so many entertainment, gaming and technology brands over the last 30 years, it’s what Freddie was immediately drawn to the most. “This probably also stems from my creative background in that I don’t ever just look for solutions to problems; I look for the most creative solutions.”
Sharing an instance, Freddie says that through an RFP opportunity, FG|PG successfully won a global program for Herbalife consisting of a series of ten (10) different internal virtual awards and recognition events from one custom-designed bespoke Herbalife environment. The award experience for each of the 900 recipients across ten global regions included engagement and celebration of their success in a holistically branded 3D virtual environment that they could navigate through in their native language which encompassed a central event hub, classroom education, networking lounge, a President’s award history wall, 360 hosted tours of Herbalife HQ, manufacturing facility in North Carolina, and Galaxy Stadium in LA. One of many added fun engagement bonuses included a VR yoga experience overlooking a panoramic view of Los Angeles experienced through an Herbalife VR headset gift to keep.
For the days to come, Freddie is working towards 2021 agency plans of growing their in-house virtual and hybrid studio capabilities both with their IP platform and on-demand studio broadcast streaming all under one roof. With 180,000 square foot facility, they have the infrastructure and conveniences that clients need and want to produce the broadest range of virtual events imaginable. This is the reason why Facebook launched their first-ever virtual diversity conference out of the FG|PG facility in 2020. “We see an ever-growing need for both existing and new clients alike, and we look forward to customizing for each a unique virtual event through the space and talent right from our HQ building in Southern California,” says Freddie.
