It is the goal of Montverde Academy to cultivate students' intellectual curiosity, global perspective, and entrepreneurial spirit in a supportive, culturally diverse environment. As stated by Dr. Kesselring, President of Montverde Academy, the academy does not discriminate on the basis of race, colour, national origin, gender, sex, religion, or handicap, whether it comes to employment, admissions, or educational services.
There were 103 students at Montverde Academy when Dr. Kesselring first came in 1999. His innovative leadership has transformed the academy into a thriving PK3-12/Post Graduate program. Over the course of his career, he has served more than 1,300 pupils from more than 90 countries.
According to Dr. Kesselring, listening is a crucial leadership quality that frequently requires conscious effort. As a leader, performance gaps are reviewed annually as part of self-and institution-improvement efforts.
In addition to being a leader, Dr. Kesselring has also served the community. Among his numerous contributions to the communication field, Dr. Kesselring served as Chairman of the South Lake Chamber of Commerce.
As a member of an organization with approximately one thousand businesses as members, Dr. Kesselring has played a vital role in aiding others in the growth of their enterprises and in the economic development of the region as a whole.
Students in grades 3–12 can use iPads on the school's campus, which is completely wireless. The Academy uses digital textbooks, tests, and communication to help students integrate their learning. Taking on a new educational technology and innovation centre, more integration is envisaged in the future as we explore AI, advanced research technology, software development, programming, 3D imaging, and other cutting-edge fields, says Dr. Kesselring.
Students and their families can pursue interests not covered by other organizations because of the variety of programming available, says Dr. Kesselring. We also offer dual enrollment with the University of Florida and Lake Sumter State College, music and theatre conservatory programs, and many sports academy programs, adds Dr. Kesselring.
There will be those students who breeze through their academic lives, and there will be others, who struggle mightily, says Dr. Kesselring.
To help students with learning challenges, the Academy provides a learning support services program. For students with learning differences, the Academy makes an effort to provide reasonable accommodations that can help them succeed in their educational journey and gain admission to some of the most competitive colleges and universities in the United States, despite the Academy's strict curriculum standards. As Dr. Kesselring says, our goal is to help students reach their full potential by paving the way for their success and equipping them with the resources they need.
The Academy is in the process of building a new Educational Technology and Innovation Center, which will have a cutting-edge digital research facility and labs dedicated to cinema, TV, and digital media production, as well as studios devoted to graphic design and digital art. Dr. Kesselring states that new curricular opportunities have been created, and more than $80 million in facility renovations have been completed. IE
