Be Yourself. Be Seen.

New Albany, OH – PortoSpire believes that every business (and individual) should have the same opportunities traditionally reserved for large organizations with equally large budgets. This would allow for everyone to focus on the things they do best, rather than having to learn and maintain complex technology.

The team works with small businesses, solopreneurs, and individuals looking for a customized web presence to share their stories. Through their collective lessons learned and skillsets, the team has built a highly scalable and optimized platform, forming a low barrier to entry solution that grows with a client's needs.

After resettling in central Ohio in 2016, PortoSpire's primary focus has been to tell their client's stories. Its team has worked to refine its storytelling skills through standard and automated processes, which provides for great brand stories. These stories help small businesses thrive, allow individuals to take control of their web presence, and craft how they are seen.

Its team members strive for a shared understanding of the client's story and build a customized design to best share it with their target market(s). Beyond visually stunning storytelling, they also offer enterprise-grade integrations that scale to meet the growing needs of businesses without added upfront costs. All of PortoSpire's products and services are provided à la carte, so clients only pay for the customized services they need and use.

The team is led by CEO Andrew Wallace, a strategic visionary who hasn't always worked in website creation or technology. Andrew's storytelling journey began by spending a decade in entertainment (dancing, singing, acting) before transitioning into technical IT roles, saying, "I bring a blend of artistic and scientific mindsets to every effort I undertake." As he entered the IT industry, Andrew focused on breaking down complex problems into smaller, more digestible portions. He shares, "I found myself in roles acting as a bridge between those more technically minded with those driving the business. Building from my previous experiences in entertainment, I began moving into roles helping to plan and lead projects. This eventually led to the role I hold today as CEO, in which I use various experiences to tell the story of what the organization can be and how we can get there together."

During his time leading creating and hosting websites, Andrew has observed major concerns which revolve primarily around security, data privacy, and the pace of technological innovation. We are in an age where coders worldwide can quickly produce and distribute plug-ins, enabling them to "find a plug-in that does it." Still, those easy-to-find plug-ins often introduce security holes or conflicts that ultimately render a site unmanageable over time. Most site owners are unaware of current laws or regulations, let alone stay abreast of what changes their site may need to undertake as the various rules shift.

While remaining in the know regarding the industry, Andrew is also focused on the innovative future of PortoSpire, telling us, "We are preparing to launch an integrated scheduling and calendar management service that makes booking and charging for events a snap. Users can plan event schedules or set open ranges for clients to book and pay all from a single interface."

Andrew boasts a team that is 100% virtual: working where it makes sense. They work when the time is most convenient for all, including their families and the clients they serve. He quips, "The days of dictating time and place as an authority from on high have long ended, and we fully embrace that. We are explorers and artists. We seek to bring together the world as we are, not as some undefined "they" that others want everyone to be." IE
